DSO - London Gazette 24/8/18 - Capt. South Wales Borderers, Special Reserve - For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. By bold and skilful handling of his company he gained a position in rear of the enemy, and captured two field guns and a number of prisoners. On another occasion he manouevred his company to a flank, under heavy fire, and captured a position from which the enemy was enfilading the advance. He showed splendid initiative and skill.
