East Africa & Rhodesia - 30/11/50 - Mrs Harriet Ladbury, wife of the Rev H.B. Mr & Mrs Ladbury first went to Uganda in 1903, and 37 years later they retired to Naivasha, where they now live. Mr Ladbury has received an album containing congratulations from her friends and fellow workers, including 50 now living in England, whose messages were flown out by air mail: a foreword was written by Bishop Willis, Bishop of Uganda from 1912 to 1934. Mrs Ladbury was 53 when she first went to East Africa, against medical advice, which at that time considered her determination to accompany her husband to be most unwise.
