KGF - E-mail from Derek S. Low - James Adams Low - his daughter Edith Mary married on June 4th 1913, Leslie Lea. He was listed as a bachelor and civil servant of Nairobi. Leslie was born in England in 1889, and died in Kent in 1969. Edith Mary was born in London in 1894 and died in Sussex in 1965. Their son Leslie Mervyn was born in Nairobi in 1914.
Leslie appears to have gone to Nairobi from London sometime before 1913, where he first was a representative for Brown & Pank, wine merchants. However he gave that up and subsequently became a Registrar of Land in the Colonial Office at Nairobi. He returned to England in about 1923, before moving to St. Helena a year or two later.
