On the 1911 census Tom Bellairs, aged 18, is listed as a midshipman on board Venus, Atlantic Fleet, Gibraltar Harbour, place of birth given as Datchet, Berkshire.
The Royal Navy Officers Medal Roll records that Lieutenant Tom C.M. Bellairs was awarded the Star, Victory and British War Medal for service during WW1.
The marriage of Tom C.M. Bellairs to Enid M.F. Till or Wardell-Yerburgh is registered in the September Quarter 1931 under the Westhampnett Registration District.
 
Lieutenant-Commander Tom Bellairs lived at Kemerton House, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire.  He had one daughter, Pamela Lavender Bellairs who married twice: 1: Group Captain Patrick Bruce Bine Ogilvie, son of Herbert Ogilvie and Audrey Bine, in 1939.  He died on 11th December 1944, aged 34, missing in a spitfire over the North Sea. Married 2: Roger Charles Lewis Kennaway, son of Charles Roger Kennaway and Margaret Evelyn Everard on 4th September 1947.  One daughter Rose Margaret Ruth Kennaway, born 17th August 1947.
