Stan Bleazard - Trained engineer Metro Vickers, arrived Kenya 1923 to instal hydro-electric power, Maragua river for Kakuzi Fibrelands, stayed on to manage system until 1926. Jim had a passion for sport, tennis and golf in particular (Railway Club, Nairobi) and also safari - walked twice with baggage camels from Meru to Marsabit and back 1927, ivory hunting. Assisted Pat Ayre, JA Hunter and others on professional hunting expeditions. Several years workshop manager Motor Mart (Eldoret, Nairobi, Dar es Salaam) and mentioned in book 'Wheels over Black Cotton'. 1937 recruited Sergeant KAR 5th Battalion, I/c Motor Transport, Nanyuki. Served in Abyssinia, Somalia, Ceylon, Burma with REME, final rank substantive Major. 1946 transferred to KUR&H o/c Motor Transport, Masindi, Uganda; retired 1956 Motor Transport Superintendent EAR&H Iringa, Tanganyika. Departed Kenya 1958 for Scotland.
