After 1919 moved to Molo and was engaged in saw-milling in 1920 and later in oil milling. In 1940 he erected and managed the Molo Flax Factory to provide especially for war needs. 1927 founded herd of pedigree Ayrshire cattle known as Kivulini herd, for many years one of the leading Ayrshire herds in Kenya. He was married and had two daughters
