Richard Wheeler - Nigel Holmes' maternal grandfather was Dr. Gerald Hugh Blaker MBE who lived at Limuru for a time on land given by Marjorie Harrison (née Holmes). She and Harry (James Henry) Harrison had a farm across from the railway station. Marjorie worked for Dalgety Co. in Nairobi most of her life and got a pension from them. In 1938/39 she won the Irish Sweepstake (1 of 10 shares) and bought the farm at Limuru. Harry died in 1965. She stayed on in Kenya into the 1990s? She died in 1998 in the UK.
Richard Wheeler - In 1938/9 she won the Irish Sweepstake (1 of 10 shares) and bought the farm at Limuru. She stayed on in Kenya into the 1990s. Her ashes were buried at Limuru All Saints Church with Harry in 1999 on a trip back by her daughter Barbara Ward.
