General Information:

Railway just built to Nairobi. Their first home was tent in Govt. Rd. She was not only a superb butter and cheese maker but was also a State Registered Nurse
Apart from helping her husband run a farm and win prizes for dairy products, she became renowned for her acts of mercy, helping all races, particularly with problems involved with malaria and child birth. After one cross country journey she delivered a premature baby boy and kept him alive in an empty one-gallon debi, lined with cotton wool. He grew up to be the famous Professor Leakey. Tragically killed by a hit and run
driver on Ngong Road.  
KFA - Won prize for butter at Agricultural and Horticultural Show in Nairobi in 1903.
