Tom Lawrence: He joined the Kenya Regiment (KR 1062). There were a great number of Tweedies who joined the Kenya Regiment at the same time -John Norman (581), Graham Calderwood (998), Douglas Noel (1013), Gordon David (1229), and Bruce Clement (3034), who all would have done their bit in WWII (The Last Colonial Regiment, by Ian Parker).
