Wolseley-Lewis - 1930s Kiambu - Bumps Walker had the top coffee estate, Kegio, in Thika ……….. For some reason Bumps took exception to my practising with my .22 pistol, shooting rats in the store. Also I was not popular with his wife 'Timothy', because I had a rather serious affair going on with a married girl. ……….. [war] I left everything in my banda, which must have irritated Timothy because she had to tidy everything and store it. I say irritated because she bundled the whole lot up without packing anything and all my glass was broken. Poor Timothy died later of cancer of the spine and Bumps was to marry the woman who had been looking after her, Dorothy
