Foster - All Saints' Cathedral - The brass lectern, made in the form of an eagle with outstretched wings and the brass processional cross were given as a memorial to Mr Stonebridge, a young officer in the Uganda Railway. He had been a member of the St. Stephen's Church Committee and of the YMCA Management Board, who was lost overboard a day's sailing from Mombasa, when returning from overseas leave in January 1915. When it was necessary to have a double lectern for the Royal Bibles the lectern was donated to St. Stephen's Church.
