General Information:

Coco Alexander (dau): He was sent to school in England where, aged 8,  he lived with his aunt. He returned to Kenya after the war aged 18 and lived and farmed in Molo at Westerland. Gerry and Pensie emigrated to NZ In 1974 after selling Westerland, Molo. They farmed in North Canterbury, South Island. Gerry later had an agricultural contracting business until 1996 when they returned to Kenya to retire. Gerry kept busy maintaining the roads and water supply to Mwitu estate near Karen. He also gathered a road crew together and paved the Karen shopping centre in the late 1990s. His work is still visible today (2022). He loved tinkering with motor cars (having driven in the East African Safari rally in 1950s and early 60s) He was an excellent shot and loved bird shooting but was never fond of hunting animals.
