General Information:

Foster - He came to Kenya from CMS Rwanda on 3 August 1938. Joined the Kenya Defence Force on 20 October 1939. During the War he served in the Middle East and in the East African Commands and achieved the rank of Captain by the end of the war. In 1953 he returned to Kenya to do adult education in Jeanes School. In 1962 he was appointed the Colony Director of Music and Drama in Kenya.
Sunman - Originally accountant with CMS. In entertainment corps during WW2. Mainly in Lower Kabete. Choirmaster Nairobi in 1960s. Gave Swahili lessons on African Broadcasting series. Chaired Committee for Kenya National Anthem (based on a Pokona lullaby). At University of Dar es Salaam in 1960s. Returned to UK after retirement from Dar, but returned to Kenya and died c. 1970.
