Richard Wheeler - John Carlton Holmes worked for RH Page & Co. digging wells in Masai country and then for International Harvester and Anglo Baltic Timber Co. Just after Easter in 1959 the family was travelling from Kampala to Limuru in the evening when they hit an Uplands Bacon Company truck head on (it only had one park light showing). JCH seemed OK but died soon after at the scene. Roy and Christine were taken back to the hospital at Naivasha and died that night. Molly and Nigel survived. Nigel was only 2 years old.
