Childhood - Ann Attwood, née Totty - "I was born at Nasokol, the Mission Station in Northern Kenya 25 miles from Kitale. My parents were missionaries to what was then a very primitive and nomadic tribe, the Pokot. They arrived, separately from England in 1931 and 1932, and were married in a civil ceremony which was customary - in nearby Kapenguria - followed by another ceremony at Kitale church.
Still active in 1960s
