General Information:

North has Morrison
Mr & Mrs Morison known as 'Bin' and 'Belinda' - both names derived from horses. It seems he, in the very early days, owned a racehorse (thought to be called 'Bin Salein') and ever after was 'Bin' to everyone. 'Belinda' was an Arab Somali pony that Mrs Morison used to ride around Nakuru in WW1 days. It was said that she was riding up to join a party of other horse riders when one of them remarked "Ah, here comes 'Belinda'" and that was that - horse and rider became one! Source: Mrs J. Spaul

He settled in Nakuru, where the greater part of his service had been spent, and in 1939 joined the Kenya Government, being inland revenue officer in Nakuru for some years. Keenly interested in racing, he was vice-chairman of the Nakuru Race Club in 1949, and hon. Secretary for most of the period from 1912 to 1945.
