Chase - 1964 - Namanga River Inn - Manager, Mr Gethin, a large, red-faced man. To our question as to whether there were any newspapers available he replied gruffly, "Only my own Times. I subscribe to it". Mr Gethin had owned the hotel for 13 years and his father had started it before him. Mrs Gethin had a charming gentle face and the old-fashioned adjective 'womanly' suited her well.
