Before taking up this new position Jack attended Armidale University in Australia for a year to obtain local knowledge. After spending some time living in the outback amongst the Aboriginees, the Australian Govt. selected Jack as a member of the team to prepare the Australian governed territory of Papua, New Guinea for their forthcoming independence and was transferred to Port Moresby in New Guinea. Whilst at Port Moresby the local University offered Jack the post as Professor of Anthropology, a position he willingly accepted. It was whilst Jack was out sailing one day that he suffered a heart attack and died at the early age of 47.   Source: Mr John B.R. Allen
