Web: Dad (the son) had several jobs in and around Nairobi after he married my Mum. He was a taxi driver for a while in Nairobi, and worked in a cinema, also worked as a Mechanic in Hughs & Co. Nairobi. Don’t know of any other. Only that he was out of work when times were tough in Kenya and had to get assistance from the Salvation Army. They were so poor at one stage, I remember Mum saying, they weren’t able to afford a cake of soap!! This is when Mum got Berri-berri, and all her beautiful thick long auburn hair fell out, and when it grew back it grew dark and thin with a very slight curl to it. Eddie was just a baby during this time. Dad then landed a job with The East African Power and Light in Nairobi, the firm he stayed in until he passed over. He worked at:- Ruiru Power Station, Indula Power Station, Tana Power Station, Indurugu Sub-station, Pangani Falls, all while with the E.A.P.&L.
