Alexander and in 1923 the waters of the lake rose so high that they washed against the verandah steps; however the lake receded before damage was done. This building was later taken over as a PNEU School run by Mrs Albrechtsen, and finally finished as a school for Indian children.

?Kenya Regiment 1778, one Douglas Alexander served in EA Signals, died of blackwater fever 11.12.1941 at No. 2 General Hospital (Register of KR Deaths in WW2) but he was b. 24.7.1919 in Warmit, Forfarshire, and came from Livingstone, N. Rhodesia. His father was also Douglas Alexander.
