He was a foundation member of the Eldoret Club, the Eldoret Golf Club, and the Uasin Gishu Gymkhana Club. He played Rugby Football in several Currie Cup matches when in practice in South Africa before 1914, and was also at one time a member of the Northern-Eastern XV in the Cape Province.
