General Information:

Police - On one occasion "Sam" was told that Kipsigis and Kisii warriors were massed in the Sotik district ready to attack each other. He sped to the scene and just as the large groups moved to the attack, he rode between them on a white horse. With a strength of character and an almost uncanny influence which he possessed over Africans, he ordered the armed warriors to disperse and this they did. In an English country paper, much to "Sam's" embarrassment, his photograph appeared with the caption "The Man who stopped the Flow of Blood in Africa."
Police - Great expert in Stock theft investigations. Asst. Inspector, Kenya Police in 1939, appointed 1934. Originally Constable 1927.
