East Africa & Rhodesia - 16/11/50 - Colonel Alan Duncan Stitt, DSO, MC, who has died in Kenya at the age of 56, went to the Colony to farm after the 1914-18 war, joined in the Kakamega gold rush in the early thirties, and continued to interest himself in mining. He was a director of a hotel company. Mrs Stitt, one son, and a daughter survive him.
