Buffalo Barua - Memories of Kathleen Dobson - ' … I was fascinated by the many lovely drawings produced by Cyril Redhead (Art Master at the Prince of Wales School and one of the first young Kenya Regiment officers).
Nicholls - The Hill School was opened in Eldoret in 1945 in the old RAF camp built from timber from the Elgeyo sawmills, with as headmaster Cyril Redhead, formerly an art master at the Prince of Wales School. It was he who designed the buffalo badge of the Kenya Regiment based on the Selous memorial in Nairobi Club.
