General Information:

Eldoret - Cyril Egleton and Col. East-King opened up the fishing on the Aroar river. In those days there were no good roads for cars and the climb was very hard work, especially ascending after a long day's fishing to where Kapsowar is today. There was a DC Marakwet in those days before the DC Tambach covered both districts. The boma buildings were later sold to the Mission Station which is a big thriving one today. Egleton's shop is still in Eldoret though he has died. There is also fishing on the Moiben River and at Kaptagat.
