Ione Evans - Edith Maud Mitchell is correct for Lloyd's 2nd wife. They married in Egypt in 1944, both in the army. Lloyd's first wife Stella Lagos went off with someone else while he was away. Lloyd was decorated during WW2; he was a Major in the Pioneer Corps in 1944. His Kenya Regiment number was 968. Lloyd and Arnold were interpreters at Jomo Kenyatta's trial. Both were fluent in Kikuyu.
