Paul Manley - Bermuda newspaper - In 1947 he was appointed Superintendent of Prisons in Kenya and a year later became Assistant Commissioner of Prisons, Tanganyika, following a transfer. In October of 1954 he was promoted to Deputy Commissioner and in 1955 was named Commissioner of Prisons. He held this post until his retirement in June 1962
