Kinloch - served his apprenticeship as a hunter with several of the old timers. ........ universally liked. A ready wit and amusing raconteur. Learnt farming in England. Short service commission in RAF but crashed too many planes. Came to Uganda in 1932. Professional elephant and buffalo hunter. Apprenticed to old pioneer 'Red' Vivers. During WW2 joined 'Recces' EA Armoured Car Regt. - a wild band of hunters and settlers. ...... Joined the Game Dept. in 1946. ......... Allergic to paper work. Desk with deep wide drawer called 'Hell'. A great character.
Pre-war volunteer to the Kenya Regiment (KR 627).
A tough, humorous, adventurous and immensely likeable character.
