Nicholson - In 1934 Tilly married Jack Evans at Cherangani Church - he was under manager to Archie Grant working for Colonel Strain on 'Drummore'. Jack later leased some land from Col. Strain and built a house of sun dried bricks. Ruth was born in 1936 at Mrs Dreyer's Nursing Home in Eldoret while the Evans were at 'Little Nzoia'. ....... Great friends of the George Nicholsons ....... Jack was not fit enough to join the Army in WW2 and so was given management of farms and was on the local production committee.
