General Information:

1905/6 fell in love with Maj. Henry Fearnley Kirkpatrick an early settler - left Kenya in 1906 with son Dickie for 17 years
Mrs Kirkpatrick returned to Nairobi in 1923 with Beryl's two half-brothers ....... Rented Karen Blixen's old manager's house on Mbagathi Ridge 'for about a year'. She is manifestly a pathetic figure although she was to go on to gain a reputation as 'a merry widow type'. Whatever happiness Clara had had with Harry Kirkpatrick was short-lived. She divorced Clutt in 1914, married Harry next day but he died of war wounds in 1918. ........... In May 1923 she went to Molo and an anchorage with Dickie for her smaller sons.
