Son George later became Honourable Judge George Bathurst Norman. When Forest Farm was taken over for resettlement the Normans moved to Thomson's Falls.
Markham - early 1950s - In return for her keep, Beryl Markham went with Charles Bathurst Norman 'to his grotty little office in Nanyuki, for tuppence a week', as Victoria put it 'to type my father's letters'. Primarily Charles Norman was a barrister, an Old Harrovian whose style Beryl appreciated. .... Beryl introduced Jorgen Thrane to the Normans and Charles Norman gave Thrane half of Forest Farm in exchange for Thrane working it. Norman and Thrane Ltd. was founded.
