General Information:

Tucker - 1899 - Uganda - with a detachment of Punjabis was proceeding to Mruli, and had halted to read a letter which had just been handed to him by a messenger. Hastening to overtake his men, he reached them just as a murderous volley was fired upon them by a party of mutineers hidden in the long grass, not far from the road. He was wounded but survived and got back to the fort at Kisalizi. There he was besieged for several weeks by 400/500 Sudanese.
