Adventurers - 'Dickenson, a man whose boast was that he had served behind the counter in Peter Robinson's shop in London, was working for the PWD in Uganda when I first met him ...... he never became anything but a mediocre hunter, but he was a good plucked one ..... soon gave up this life and for years after was to be met in Nairobi, where he eventually died.'
