Letter from David Nicholson - She is noteworthy for having saved the Scottish Dumpy Hen from extinction. The breed had become extinct in Scotland, and with it the valuable gene for short legs in poultry had been lost. But a setting of eggs was sent from Ngobit to Scotland and the breeders recovered the Dumpy! I had this story from the Scottish Poultry Institute.
