'We were 5 girls all born and educated there but my eldest sister went to Malvern, UK. She also joined the WTS (EA) but was tragically drowned in Feb. 1944 when the ship going to Ceylon was torpedoed by the Japs. Many troops were lost and one of the girls jumped to safety and I am in touch with her and she wrote the story up. .......... Our sister in Spain was a world squash champion and now does well as a veteran. Another lives in Kent and married a Lever Bros. chap. Susan in Kenya goes on Hash trips and climbs the mountain. We were all very sporty.'
