EAS 15 June 1939 She was for many years matron of the European School in Nairobi. She retired from the Education Department in June 1937. Since then she had been in poor health and for almost a year before her death had been in hospital. She was appointed matron of the European School in June 19-- [illegible] and held that position until the time of her retirement. She was well known and had many friends in Nairobi and other parts of Kenya. Her husband died several years ago and there was no family.
